The burn emergency department is the first place for burn patients to visit. The emergency department with 5 active beds and resuscitation room, outpatient operating room, triage unit with portable electroshock equipment, EKG, portable ventilator, monitoring devices welcomes burn patients. Immediately after entering the ward, patients receive medical, emotional, and psychological support from the emergency department team, which consists of a resident physician, experienced, and compassionate nurses. Immediately after arrival, the patient is visited by an emergency physician and the percentage of depth of burn is determined. After washing with NS serum, plain water, baby shampoo and debridement of the burn and dressing areas by nurses, if necessary, the patient is hospitalized and transferred to the relevant departments. Otherwise, the patient will be treated on an outpatient basis and the patient will be discharged by providing educational tips and emphasizing on further visits to the clinic to change the dressing.
